Real Men Sow

Anyone for Some Free Seeds?

seeds

I’ve got  25 packets of seeds that need using up, a book of stamps and a packet of envelopes, and I’m not afraid to use them…

If you would like any of the seeds listed below, send me an email, drop me a tweet (@realmensow) or leave a comment below and I’ll contact you for your address.

All the seeds are in date and have been stored in a cool, dark place since I bought them. I’ve tried to link to the variety on the seed company’s website where I can.

The packets have been opened unless I’ve said otherwise.

Hope they’ll be of use to a few people :)

P.S. If anyone has any leek or broad bean seeds they’d like to swap, that’d be grand!

    Hey Jono.

I’ve ordered a lot of my seeds tonight and know I’ll have more Bleu De Solaise and Lyon 2 leek than I need and Aquadulce Longpod Broad Bean. If any of them are any good let me know and I’ll pop them in the post to you. Anything else you’re after, I appear to have loads of random seeds!

I have broad bean seeds (Aguadulce Claudia) if you’re still after some? Probably most of the packet left.

About Real Men Sow

meIn 2007, I took on a redundant allotment plot with my gardening-mad mum Jan. As all good mums do, she went along with it, but I don’t think she held out much hope.

However, three years on, and she now lets me do stuff without watching over my shoulder, so I must be doing something right. [ read more ]

Saving £500 a year!

During 2011, I kept a diary of how much money I save from growing my own fruit and vegetables. After totalling all my outgoings, I saved approximately £500 over the year. I made a spreadsheet to calculate these savings - it’s nothing too complicated, as I’m no Excel guru, but hopefully someone else will find it as useful (and strangely fun) as me. For more info, visit my Money Saving Experiment page by clicking here.
